The technology implemented by IMP POLOWAT Ltd. is based on a recycled physical and mechanical machining of PET bottles, practically neutral to the natural environment.
The technological process, however, is complex and multi-staged. The opening stages come down to meticulous clearing of the bottles from various types of surface pollutions. Next, the bottles undergo the process of cleaning and sorting out various non-PET materials that might later appear in between the compressed PET bottles.
The bottles in the colour different than those that are being processed undergo the same sorting procedure. The following stage, changing the characteristics of the PET bottles is the phase of grinding. The grinded material undergoes further washing and several rinsing processes. At the same time the polyolefin from the caps is insulated. The following processes include drying and separating the flakes from unnecessary contents, i.e. small metal fillings and dust created in the grinding process. Properly dried flakes are packed into big-bag containers and stored in the warehouse. Each shipment for the client holds a quality certificate that includes laboratory tests results.
